Who we are
CJS Global LTD (trading as CollectMyChristmasTree) is the data controller for personal data collected through collectmychristmastree.co.uk. [Placeholder: ICO registration number]
What we collect
When you search
The postcode, town or city you search for. If you tap “Near me”, your browser shares your approximate location so we can find your postcode. We don't store it against you.
When you send a collection request
Your name, address, postcode, tree sizes and number, preferred day, access notes, and optionally your phone number and email address. We share these with the collector you chose so they can arrange your collection.
When you ask for an area alert
Your email address and the area you searched, so we can tell you when a collector covers it.
Collector accounts
Your name, email, business details, listing, waste carrier number and payment records. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we don't see your card details.
Usage statistics
We count how often listings are shown and contacted, so collectors can see how they're doing. We do this without cookies, using a daily-changing anonymous identifier that can't be used to identify you.
Why we use it (lawful basis)
- To pass your request to a collector: to take steps you ask for (contract).
- To run collector accounts and take payment: contract.
- Area alerts and reminders: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Statistics, security and preventing spam: our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
- The collector you contact or send a request to. They are responsible for how they use it.
- Service providers: Render (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), postcodes.io (postcode lookup).
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it

Your rights
